The splash of colour really makes this painting stand out, mainly because of how vibrant both the bird is, and obviously the hair. The thing I love the most though are the eyes! They're phenomenal. What makes them though is the darkness and lifelessness the eyes actually possess. They create a massive contrast between the vibrant splash and the dark sepia colour. The skin tone really looks fantastic as well, like it always does. I find that the way the nose and mouth are painted really show extreme detail, likewise to the eyes. In overall it's another superb painting. Well done.
This is just gorgeous! I've always loved the way you do portraites but this is something else. The use of color (as always) is very rich, the random spatters of color give a real sence of life and movement. I think the most captivating part of this portraite is the eyes, the shading and deep layers of color in them really draws the viewer to the centre of the piece. I think if i were to change anything in this painting, i think i would add a bit more to the hair, i would have made it look a bit fuller with darker colors. Other than that its breathtaking
It's simply incredible what you can do with watercolors. I'm just in love with your style. Watched all the videos on YouTube as well... inspires me so much. I never been a huge fun of traditional paintings and watercolor paintings in particular but you just changed it all. Thank you.
This piece is breath taking!!! You'r technique is perfect (something I personally envy), you'r colors contrast wonderfully and the details in the face, eyes and lips are spectacular... But there's something about this picture I don't like and I'm honestly not sure what it is... The face is wonderfully realistic and proportional.... I think it's the eyes, they almost creep me out not because they are not freaking amazing but because the eyes seem to be the main focal point of the drawing but I feel they are, maybe too intense for this photo... I don't know... I feel the colors in the background (light greens, yellows and browns)+the bird say happy go lucky and the eyes say opposite. Anyways if you were going for intense you nailed it hahaha
