I find this piece beautiful... it evokes a sense of need and dependancy - though with a calm, serene resignation of love. While it is dark with a predominance of black, an emphasis of white in the center brings the two images even closer together in their isolation. I like the mixture of media as it evokes this emotion of them mixing together as an island in the darkness. I feel the piece captures this emotion well and it evokes in those who see the piece.
In general, I enjoy this artist - with several of her pieces on my wishlist... this piece I envision for my husband's and my bedroom-- as it captures this enrapturing closeness... that after of day of 2 children, work... we need to remember... we are together...
loved it. the first feel i get is desperation. then i look twice, and it changes all of a sudden. i feel serenity. whether the world is standing or crumbling, these are two people who can stop time and just lean to each other.
I've seen this before, I don't know when or how and now I came back to your gallery and this caught my attention again. It's absolutely incredible, the way you express human feelings through real-looking photos painted in an abstract way. ♥
