It looks like your experimenting with oil and watercolor on canvas was a success! The eyes are spectacular just flowing with emotion and life that captures the viewer's attention as it does to me, while the rest of the image looks wonderful as your style makes your work so great. Maybe a little more color or shading to the head and neck giving a little more sharpness to the image but of course that's all up to you either way the I am captured by what I see in the eyes. The way you used both watercolor and oil was almost perfect. Can't wait to see more!
I try to do the things you do with watercolor, and I honestly haven't gotten it right yet. The stray drips you paint add something that I see as kind of a metaphor, Like every person is a bit messy in their own way, and I absolutely love it. The blandness of your color choice for the skin just adds to the piercing affect of the eyes. It shows depth. Like how a lot of people say that the eyes are the doorways to the soul, I feel like this work truly shows us something. What I get from it is something like "outer appearances can be deceiving, you have to look inside a person to truly understand them". I can really relate to this work, and I enjoy it as always. The only thing I can find a bit off about it is the lobe of the ear on the left is a bit bigger than the lobe on the right, which is hardly anything to complain about. I love what you're doing, and I hope I continue to see your amazing work.
This has to be my absolute favourite work of yours, the colour pallette is so wonderfully unsual and subtle but at the same time it really jumps out at you, I love the eyes
Looks amazing! D: Could you explain your process? I'm an art student and I plan to learn watercolor next year but this semester is supposedly on oil. It's got the watercolor look I love though! D:
