As always, again a wonderful watercolor piece. I think the name "Miss bow tie" is interesting, because for me, the first thing that comes to mind are these ladys serving drinks and food at, say, an charity event. Where they have to look clean, nice and proper. And I get this feeling for the left side of her face. I just assume, that the bow tie on her neck is also a butterfly and there are also several ones on her face in the most lively colors. Is this the disjunction between work and privat life, where you can just be and say what you want? I'm not that great with writing critique and trying to interpret things, that sometimes don't need or want to be interpreted. The result of my blabbing is: amazing work, that captures my attention for longer than the blink of an eye. I love your style and how you use your tools and the color.
Hey I am such a big fan. Your art work always amazes me. I really enjoy the simplicity, not meaning the picture is bland or lacks lines, but I love how the focus is placed in a certain area (such as only the face in the centre, surrounded by little colour) and that the use of the watered-down colours brings out the aspects that are being conveyed more dominantly. You really capture emotion, especially with the cooler colours or even the littler colours in the focus area. I can totally feel a story for each picture. Thanks for being so great. Continue to be as amazing as now.

What can I say. Beautiful work as always. As it is right now I would happily hang it on my wall. If I was going to make any suggestions they would be minor ones. As someone else stated, the face itself is in a very basic pose, a slight twist to the angle could have made it pop a little more. Also I would maybe of had a little more colour dripping down from the side with the butterflies, again just to make it pop more. The yellow butterfly I may have lowered a little just to give the piece a little more breathing room. The butterflies all could have a little more colour added just so they don't blend in quite so much.
These are minor things, and when it comes to this style of artwork you are far superior than me. I've enjoyed all your artwork and this piece can sit happily with them.
I think the simplicity of this piece is very effective because you made one side of the face different than the other, but I think it would be more effective if you put another butterfly on the other side of the face to bring it together.
This is more accessible (less macabre) than some of your other pieces in the same style; beautifully executed as always, so very easy to like! Like BTina05 I get the impression it is about something, though not sure what.
seriously love your art work, currently doing an alternative self portrait project on my art and design diploma course, and using some of your work as a reference, love this piece, and how you always capture the emotion in the eyes of the person in your works. such an inspiring artist.
