I believe what is the most appealing on your painting is how you mastered the minimalism of the portraits, leaving out all unnecessary defined hairlines, concentrating on capturing the emotion and vulnerability. They all feel very intimate and close, this one is too defined and self-aware so it pushes the spectator in the position of admiring the technique rather than emotion captured.
