This is my participation to the most colorful deck of cards by Playing Arts Project.
We decided to let me make the Queen of Diamonds, so I thought to a diamond near to me, a faceted diamond created by geometric games. It's a rough diamond, as the young queen that I decide to create. dressed as a queen through the jewelry, but under this crown there is stilla child.

(a little interview about the card along the post: playingarts.com/news/ )

Wow, this really is a fantastic concept! I think the idea of basing it on the classic deck of cards is a very interesting topic and you have portrayed the Queen of Diamonds well.

Also, the technique of dripping watercolour down the page makes a very eye-catching picture to look at. As there is no body, so to speak, the effect of trailing hair outlining it is an unusual perspective.

However, whereas the face is varied, layered and attracts one's attention, the background fails to do so quite as effectively. I could suggest hints of colour in the background to minimise white space?

Other than that, I love the calm, measured expression and the controlled power behind the gaze, which clearly states that she is a figure of authority. Good work!
