i really like this piece. although i must say you did step away from you usual more accurate depictions of the form. i feel like the coat and arm kind of float in this piece, as if they arent part of her. im not sure if this is intentional, but i personally would have loved to see more of a connection between the body and head. as for the composition it is amazing as always. your use of color to and lack of color in some areas is phenomenal. this piece also seems more uncontrolled than your previous work, which always had an abstract feel, but looked very controlled in its creation. this piece however seems more flowy and free in appearance. overall i think the piece is amazing and your ability with watercolors never fails to amaze me!

Before all, this is my first critique ever, so I doubt it will be good. (plus, English is not my first language). Anyway, here it goes:

As a quick piece, I find this very interesting.
I really like the depth in the look of her eyes, it is the first thing to notice of the painting. The expression of the face is really well done.
However, what I like the most is the abstract form under her face. I think of it as some kind of smoke and find very interesting the way the colours blend into each other, just like her lips and the contour of the face fades into them aswell. Also the detail that the hand and a lock of hair are over this colorful form.

This said, I don't really like the way the shoulder nor the sleeve of her shirt are done. I think it would be better if you'd just hinted them, like the form of the hand is hinted rahter than been defined, or that you'd used a really light colour for it rather than a black line.

Overall, I find this piece of art really good, especially for being a quick one, and it totally shows a great control over the technique used.

this is incredible! i love how it looks like she's taking off a mask of color, and behind it she is bare and simple, and doesn't have a clear definition of who she is. love your work! keep it up!

the hand is too much and makes the art unbalanced
but i love her eyes ;)

Hmm... all fine and dandy, but I feel like you moved away from your obscure paintigs lately. I enjoyed the style of "resize me", "he hears the world" and "drawing restraint" more than this.
