Not only in color value and body , but how much emotion the portrait of this work shows.
In fact, just by looking at this, I feel a sense of sadness/ need.
It is also very deep, and shows a true meaning.
There is nothing I dislike about it.
It is just truly a work of true art.
I just love how it emphasizes and expresses its feeling throughout each stroke.
And the expression on the person's face...is just so describable.
It is as if the painting tells a story without the use of actual words.
Wonderful job. xx
the expression he carries is actually divided, just like you said, and his posture adds to that.
the painting is quite comprehensive and complex even though the technique is generally simple to the eye.
you can even say it contributes to the title that every stroke came "for each beat of his heart"
so, for me, I'd say this carries a lot of emotions.
this painting needs nothing more but the painting itself seems to ask for more. this is a great example how pictures can "come alive" out of "nothing" and will itself into the world
