The pen hatching looks really nice. I've never seen you do that before and I like it when artists try something different. It's always good to explore and experiment in art. This gestural quality looks good and suits this piece. I think it was a good decision to crop out the figure on top and on bottom rather than leaving too much white around the head. I actually like how the focus isn't on the head or face and yet you still get the impact of emotion through the figure's pose. This is something a lot of artists (including me) don't do enough of. Looks like it was fun to do.
