My favorite part of all your works is the strong gaze in your portraits, regardless of how you abstract or deconstruct the figure. This piece is no different. I think the best aspect of this piece is the contrast between the dominating swaths of color, the black shirt-like mass, and the strength of that gaze. Despite how obscure the eyes are, they pierce the viewer, and make it a little confrontational which is really intriguing. My only suggestion is to perhaps treat more areas like you have the ear on the left. The areas where there is less mass and the marks get sort of gestural and organic are really successful!

I hope this was helpful and I hope to see more work in the future. I really admire your talent and style!

This is gonna sound corny of me to say but i'm gonna say it any ways. But eyes have always been referred to as windows to the soul, and in all your pieces you seem to always give the subject a soul. Something life like, as if the subject could jump off the page and interact with the viewers no matter how dream like, organic, and abstract the colors and composition is, the work is surreal and gorgeous. Every splash of color and touch of fine detail draws one into the piece and just over flows with emotion and spirit, keep up the great works! I haven't seen a piece you've done that I don't like or have not been impressed by. Your work is inspiring for others who work in this type of medium and subject matter.

I know you probably get a million of these each day, but can I just say that I love your style and your choices of color? Your work is stunning! I'm not an art critic, but the piece is so subtle yet striking.
