I love how unique you make portraits. You have such skill with such an unforgivable medium. To me the black in white in this composition represents the colorless, depressive winter. The pop of color you have inserted encourages spring's arrival and hope. Even the expression of the subject includes a look of hope. I love also how the flowers are strategically placed as well as even the hairs on her head. The detail you have put into the eye area is incredible. I do have to disagree with the section of the critique by ihaveamooseinmyname that states, "The face itself is a little bit difficult to look at. It almost seems like there is far too much light on it, which washes the features out. I can see how the face and contours would be, but I almost want to squint to try and find them even though they are not there." I disagree only because art is an individuals original way of expressing themselves. With that said, I believe that even though some of the features are not as profound as they "should" be, I believe that it works amazingly well with your style of work.
