Ah! Just the color palette is art in itself: how she(?) is blue-faced and red-tipped with the cold! Yet the vibrant yellow makes the string pop out and gives the piece a trace of life (and of course completing the primary trio for extra brownie points!).
I love how you've focused primarily on the string and the child's skin and facial features, capturing the moment where she can't go on because she's either so cold and numb or so lost in thought. This gives me the idea that either she's very poor (hence the rudimentary plaything), or neglected, inciting the apparent distraught look on her face.
I'm not sure what you could do to improve this, so I guess this isn't so much a critique as a horribly long praise speech. Pardon if I've over-interpreted or misidentified. Maybe, then it would be helpful for more clarifying clues, but of course it's a great work of art that leaves the message up for interpretation.
Well done, and I can't wait to see more!
