this is a beautiful piece and the idea and use of shape within are original. saying that i dont think that the large amount of colour below the neck work..as i think they distract from the beautiful depiction of the face and the emotions captured there. i enjoy your work but on this occasion i feel that less is more. I can see that you want to add more to enhance this portrait and maybe that is what you went for, so instead of concentrating on the emotions that the model is conveying, we are draw to the colour and shapes within and what this means.this is of course just my opinion and may be completely wrong. i think its a beautiful piece and look for ward to more...R
